How to Wear Shorts in a Classy Way

Wearing shorts can be tricky. Some ladies do not like wearing shorts because they feel like they are showing too much skin. Wearing shorts can be the most practical choice some days, especially when you feel like you do not have anything to wear. However, there is a huge difference between wearing shorts that will make you look classy and wearing cut off short shorts. Obviously you do not want to be showing off half your butt. My suggestion is to wear neutral colored shorts, because they never goes out of style. Stay away from denim and go for a more tailored look. Shorts can even be professional if they are clean cut and the right length, much like a pair of dress pants. They can be very comfortable if you have them in a breathable fabric. Wear shorts that are mid thigh to keep it a little more conservative. If you have to constantly keep pulling your shorts down, then they are too short. Another thought is to style your shorts up! Collect tailored shorts that come in cute colors. For spring, light pastel colors are the best, such as lavender, light pink, yellow, and shades of blue. Finish up the professional look with a collared shirt, or a plain fitted V-neck that is tucked in. Wear a belt to keep those cute shorts in place and to have a crisp look. Shoes that are best with shorts are nude flats or a wedge shoe. This will give some length and height to your legs, especially if you are on the short side. Adding a blazer gives you a dressier touch. With these tricks you can put together an outfit that will beat the heat, while you stay cute and classy.
